Clare Davies is an accomplished hospitality executive and industry leader, bringing extensive experience in hotel operations, commercial strategy, corporate governance and asset management across New Zealand’s hospitality sector.

As the Founder of Capstone Hotel Management, Clare has established a respected independent hotel management and advisory company, built on a strong foundation of operational excellence, trusted owner relationships and commercial expertise. Her approach combines strategic thinking with hands-on operational experience, delivering tailored management solutions that enhance guest experiences, strengthen financial performance and maximise long-term asset value.

With experience spanning boutique hotels, luxury lodges, resorts and large-scale accommodation operations, Clare has a proven track record in repositioning properties, developing high-performing teams, driving operational efficiencies and identifying opportunities for sustainable business growth.

Clare also brings extensive governance and industry leadership experience, having previously served as President and Chair of Hospitality New Zealand. Contributing to the strategic direction, advocacy and representation of New Zealand's hospitality industry, developing a strong understanding of governance, stakeholder engagement, industry policy and the broader challenges and opportunities facing the sector.



Alongside leading Capstone, Clare serves as Chief Operating Officer of Marsden Group, providing strategic and operational leadership across a diverse nationwide portfolio of hotels and resorts. Her responsibilities encompass operational performance, commercial strategy, business development and the delivery of sustainable returns for property owners and investors with an unwavering commitment to delivering results for property owners.
